Moon Landing 50th Anniversary Celebration

Head back to the year 1969 and join your friends and neighbors on the lawn of the Outdoor Discovery Center, on Muser Drive across from 174 Angola Road, for a showing of the award winning “Apollo 11” documentary on the big screen under an open sky. Re-create the wonder of watching that historic event and powerful shared experience that helped to shape a generation. The lawn opens for seating at 7:30pm. At 8pm, enjoy a pre-film discussion about the moon landing and its deep scientific and cultural impact. The film begins at 8:30pm (Film length 133 minutes). Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream will be available.
