Music Machines, Radio, and Music: 1890s-1950s

This interactive exhibit has over 22 vintage music machines and radios, many of which will be demonstrated. Machines include an Edison cylinder phonograph, a parlor organ, Regina metal disk music box, and player piano. Early radios displayed will include a broadcast demonstration of FDR’s “Day of Infamy” speech, and the development of early radio will be presented.
