To celebrate its 121st season, the Troy Chromatic Concerts series has lined up quite an event for this Monday at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall: a concert by the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Conducted by Enrique Pérez Mesa and featuring principal clarinetist Antonio Dorta and violinist Ariel Sarduy, was founded in 1959. Since then, the orchestra has performed more than 3,000 concerts at home and abroad and developed a formidable symphonic and chamber repertoire that ranges from the Baroque era to contemporary styles and specializes in Cuban and Latin American concert music.

Hear the orchestra performs Mantici’s “Pregon y Danza”:

The National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba will perform Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, New York, on March 19 at 7:30pm. A preconcert talk will take place at 6:30pm. Tickets are $45 and $55. For more information, call (518) 273-0038 or visit
