Nature Hike: How the Mahicans Understood Their World: An Exploration of Local Native Land Use

Justin Wexler of “Wild Hudson Valley” will lead a walking tour in the Cohotate Preserve. Justin is a historical ethnobotonist and environmental educator. As a historical interpreter, he portrays the Munsee-Delaware peoples of the Lower Hudson Valley and has studied the Lenape and Mahican languages. The nature walk will start at 1 pm in the Cohotate Preserve parking lot located on Route #385 halfway between Catskill and Athens. Please wear appropriate walking shoes.
