Paintings by William Clutz, Edward Avedisian and Richard Merkin. All three lived and painted in NYC during the heydey of Color Field and Abstract Expressionism. Clutz painted the complex street life & figure to the point of abstraction, Avedisian worked with big bold color & a Pop sensibility, & Merkin documented his urban playground in a sexy- jazzy collage style.
