The New York Post called The Magician’s Study “required reading,” while Booklist said it “heralds the arrival of a major talent.” He also wrote and directed Amerikan Partizan, a short film that premiered at the Spectrum 8 Theatres as part of the Edwood Film Festival. Nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize, Tobias’s work has appeared in McSweeney’s and The Mississippi Review. He lives with his wife in Albany.
