One River, Many Streams Folk Festival

The Folk Arts Program of Arts Mid-Hudson is once again pleased to be part of the Spirit of Beacon Day and to showcase some of the cultural tradition found in the Mid-Hudson Valley. This year we are offering a whirlwind trip around the world from Eastern Europe through Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Performances on the Cedar Street Stage begin at 2:00 with the Kuchipudi Dancers presenting classical dance from India. At 2:45 the Mid-Hudson Mexican Folkloric Group bring us dances from the many regions of Mexico. Korinya will delight us with lilting tunes from the Ukraine at 3:30. And finally, Kofi with drum us home with his Ghanaian rhythms.
