Explore four private gardens in Amenia and Pawling, open to the public for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or shine. Highlights include an Asian-flavored stroll garden with a bamboo grove; a bog garden and mature plantings at a 250-year-old farmstead; a multi-level property of garden rooms, lily pools and a small orchard; and views of Quaker Hill, a knot garden, and woodland walks surrounded a 200-year-old house that was moved to the site.
