Social justice activist Marguerite Culp-Kearns, author of "Edna Buckman Kearns and the Struggle for Women's Rights" (SUNY Press, 2021) will read from her memoir and describe how activism in one branch of her family influenced 4 generations. Her grandmother, Edna, used a horse-drawn wagon to campaign for women's voting rights during the early years of the 20th century. The event will include a short video Culp-Kearns produced with filmmaker Bart Friedman.To register, email [email protected] and write "women's rights" in the subject line.
