A few months ago, the Local Economies Project of the New World Foundation announced the purchase of 1,255 acres in Hurley, the Gill Farm, and the creation of the Hudson Valley Food Hub. According to Local Economies Project, the Farm Hub will serve as "a regional center for farmer training, agricultural research and demonstration of innovative farm technologies."
