Poem: Honeybee

i never lit that
candle
because i was
scared of the
wick melting
the wax.

100% pure
before
dousing me
in lighter fluid
a lighter way
of saying you

felt a spark
sparking the
everlasting
flame
the kind
that burns the
entire place to
the ground
when left
unattended.
