Poem: Midlife Crisis 

Because I was so tired I wanted to cry,
the brussels sprouts froze in the garden.
I could no longer be held responsible for the peaches.
So I picked up a pencil,
instead of a pen,
And wrote this poem on the back of a dear friend’s obituary.
