Poem: On Giving Credit Where It’s Due

she never seemed graceless
the way she would tap her fingers
on her hips in expectation and
she wore power
skintight, more comfortable
then it would ever be at the
hands of any man.
all the praise she
got among whispers
and free drinks
were well-earned.
