Poem: When Lila Left This Life 

Sorrow lingered all night. I woke with a start.
The bird sangha assembled outside chanting Amitabha with such tenderness.
I fed them and all flew back to their forest home.
All but one who whispered to me, “It’s okay, It’s okay. It’s love.”
I settled into my breath and off she flew.
