Poets’ Corner at TCCC Presents Matthew J. Spireng

Poets’ Corner welcomes featured poet Matthew J. Spireng, an award-winning poet who has published three full-length books of poetry. His collections include Good Work (Evening Street Press), winner of the 2019 Sinclair Poetry Prize, What Focus Is (WordTech Communications) and Out of Body, winner of the Bluestem Poetry Award. Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Henry S. Taylor said of Spirengs’s poems, “they are strong portrayals of failure and success, danger and safety, of doubt and certainty…which Spireng gets profoundly right time after time.” Following Spireng will be an open mic.
