Quakers will host an informal open house and will guide tours of their 1790 Meeting House as part of the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s annual “Sacred Sites Open House.” Visitors can examine the hand-hewn beams and learn how the building design reveals early sexual equality in the Quaker faith, formally called the “Religious Society of Friends. The white clapboard Meeting House is the oldest religious building in Cornwall. It is at 60 Quaker Road, Route 107, next to St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital.
