“Samuel Clemens: Tales of Mark Twain’ tells the story of Samuel Clemens’s life, taking the audience on a journey that reflects how life and story become one. The story begins with Clemens’s rough childhood, evolves with his adventures as a steamboat pilot, his western escape from the Civil War, and leads to his success as Mark Twain, writer and lecturer. This 1 hour and 40-minute production, in two acts, is narrated by Joe Baer, professional actor and writer, performing as Samuel Clemens, and told in the context of the nearly eight decades in which he lived.
