Samuel Ligon is the author of "Safe in Heaven Dead "(HarperCollins, 2003) and "Drift and Swerve." His stories have appeared in more than twenty literary journals. He teaches at Eastern Washington University's Inland Northwest Center for Writers, and is the editor of "Willow Springs." Robert Lopez is the author of two novels, "Part of the World" and "Kamby Bolongo Mean River," and the story collection "Asunder." In the twenty stories that make up Lopez's unforgettable "Good People," a motley cast of obsessive, self-deluded outsiders narrate their darker moments, which include kidnapping, voyeurism, and psychic masochism.
