Onondaga chief and human and environmental rights leader Oren Lyons will speak on the The Two Row Wampum Renewal Campaign, a statewide advocacy and educational project which seeks to achieve justice by polishing the chain of friendship
established in the first treaty between the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and Dutch immigrants in 1613. A symbolic enactment of the ideas in the treaty, by Natives and Non-native allies, will take place on the Hudson River this summer from Albany to NYC, ending at the United Nations.
