Songs of the Soul: Sensual and Spiritual Renaissance Voices

The Crescendo Vocal Ensemble will perform Renaissance and Baroque works including Josquin des Prez's Mass L'Homme Armé and Leonhard Lechter's musical setting of The Song of Solomon. Dramatic recitation will emphasize the text. Christine Gevert will direct from the organ, Hideki Yamaya will play theorbo, and dancers Ellen Gorman, Andrea Blacklow, along with members of their company Moving Arts Exchange, will perform original choreography synchronized with the music.
