Sonic Youth's KIm Gordon Brings Body/Head to Kingston
Body/Head
In the wake of Sonic Youth’s 2011 split, the band’s founding bassist-singer, Kim Gordon, formed a new project, Body/Head, with fellow Northampton, Massachusetts-area musician Bill Nace. The hot local music news this summer finds the experimental guitar duo coming to BSP Kingston on July 20 to mark the first-ever appearance at the venue by a member of the legendarily influential Sonic Youth.

On The Switch, Body/Head’s second studio album, Gordon and Nace create rumbling, crackling, expansive sound fields punctuated by Gordon’s desperate vocals. Live, the band utilizes abstract projections to enhance their atmospheric, far-reaching sound.
