Stanford Kay Exhibition at Garrison Art Center

Stanford Kay’s exhibition ‘Painting Out Loud,' 2/17/24 - 3/10/24, is a dialog between unconscious impulses and the desireto create meaning. Kay endeavors to paint intuitively and work without an agenda, maintaining a state of mind where he is present and open until resonant forms and relationships assert themselves in his work. Kay’s critical thinking takes over, and the painting is then steered to where he thinks it needs to go, but he also embraces spontaneity and the unknown.
