Taconic Opera’s 26th Season Begins: Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos, October 21 & 22, 2023 in Yorktown

Fully professional. In German with English supertitles. Strauss also composed other famous and popular operas like Salome, Elektra and Der Rosenkavalier. There are four very good reasons not to miss this opportunity: Strauss’ score is gorgeous; German operas are not all 3+hours long; it is rarely performed outside of large opera houses; and, it’s both very touching AND very funny! A theater manages to book two different groups to perform on the same day and during the same hours. One group is doing a serious dramatic opera while the other is performing a musical comedy - at the same time!
