Tecumseh (1768-1812) was a Shawnee Warrior who united indigenous peoples to fight the U.S. encroachment on their lands. Neetopk Keetopk presents a dramatic enactment of the historic debate between Tecumseh, and Choctaw Chief Pushamataha, in the Choctaw Nation, Tombigbee River, Mississippi, 1810. Performed by Nick Miles (Pamunkey Tribe, Powhatan Nation), Evan Pritchard (descendant of the Mi’kmaq people) and Sally Bermanzohn (author of Indian Annie, a Grandmother’s Story). Drumming and song by the Cloudbreakers & Red Feather Singers.
