The Artist and the Brain

Artist Michael Ferris, Jr. will discuss the dialog that develops between himself and his sculpture’s form, and the synthesis between the visual aspects of his sculptures and his own feelings as he creates them. Dr. Gabrielle Star will connect her research on the neural underpinnings of the aesthetic experience to the creative impulse and the experience of looking at art.
