The Cortlandt String Quartet will present a unique program of traditional and contemporary classical chamber music featuring an ensemble of virtuoso artists who are well known both in the US and abroad.
Andy Stein, a two-time Grammy award-winning violinist and conductor, will be joined by violist Rachel Evans, violist Sarah Adams, and Argentine cellist Leo Grinhauz, a dedicated tanguero, specializing in combining Latin jazz within the tradition of the string quartet.
Their repertoire includes Antonin Dvorak's "American" String Quartet Op. 96, Mozart String Quartet K589 in Bb, and Wapango by Cuban Jazz clarinetist Paquito D'Rivera.
