Summer resident Laura Brock will speak about the history of Wintoon, an estate built by Clarence Roof after he bought out the Parker Place in 1882. Roof’s adopted daughter, “Frank” Hovey Roof married surgeon and inventor Karl Connell who developed the first all American gas mask used in World War I.
