Christopher Rothko will discuss an often-overlooked aspect of his father’s work—the primary importance of form. This virtual talk celebrates the ongoing series of works by Mark Rothko presented by the KMA in The Rothko Room. Mark Rothko (1903-70) is world reknown for his color field paintings which depicted irregular and painterly rectangular regions of color, which he produced from 1949 to 1970.
