"The Spirit of Color"

In her new works, Martee Levi explores the infinite variety of form and color in surprising and exuberant combinations. She has been called an “exuberant colorist,” a description borne out by the works’ many tones and shades--the deep ochre of Earth’s clays, the varied blues present in ocean and sky, and the greens of spring--that burst from the surface of her complex and quietly dynamic collage compositions.
