The Underachiever

Inspired
by crisis
motivated
by catastrophe
Moved not
by the hurricane
warning
but more the urgency
at hand
of sifting through the rubble
afterward
Born
void of a compass
void of direction
an innate propensity
for knocking

because
the illusion
of
f o r w a r d
progress
exists only
in a constant state
of
rebuilding.
