Third Annual Human Rights Film Half the Sky

The Mid-Hudson Chapter of Amnesty International will present segments of this documentary based on the book by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn showing successful efforts to turn oppression to opportunity for women worldwide. Also a discussion led by Julia Drost, the Policy and Advocacy Associate for the Women's Human Rights Program of AI USA, who will share the status of passing the International Violence Against Women Act (IVAWA) in U.S. Congress.
