Trinity Irish Dance Company at SPAC 7/30 | Dance | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine

Long hailed as one of New York state’s arts meccas, Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) draws world-renowned performers in every medium. From the pop country crooning of Jason Aldean (July 15) to the intricate guitar riffs of Dave Matthews Band (July 13) to the graceful choreography of the New York City Ballet (July 17-19), there’s something for everyone at SPAC this summer. See the full lineup.

In late July, Trinity Irish Dance Company makes its SPAC debut. Founded by Emmy Award-winning choreographer Mark Howard, the progressive, rhythmic troupe takes Irish step dancing to the next level. Howard’s work is internationally acclaimed—Trinity has embarked on sold-out world tours and appeared in films by Disney and Universal.

Now, Trinity Irish Dance takes its talents to SPAC for one night only this summer. The company blends traditional Irish step with contemporary American dance, resulting in a dynamic, high-energy performance set against original, contemporary Irish music.

Before the main event, 80 local children participants of The Performance Project: Youth in Motion will take the stage. It will be their last performance of SPAC’s two-week dance intensive. National Dance Institute choreographed the dance and supported the initiative to teach children dance skills and gain self-confidence. The special performance begins at 7:15pm.

Trinity Irish Dance Company performs at SPAC on Monday, July 30 at 8pm. For tickets and further details, visit SPAC’s event page.
