Video Screening: Stranger (2017)

In Stranger, the artist Naama Tsabar and her collaborator, Kristin Meuller play a single guitar with two faces. The instrument, conjoined at the back from two mirrored guitars, binds the two players in an act of intimacy and conflict, the guitar becoming a mutual center of gravity in the relationship. The performers merge and separate, formally and sonically, as they negotiate control over a shared creation.
