The Historical Society of Newburgh Bay and the Highlands will host a presentation by Walden Village Historian, Mary Ellen Matise. “Whatever Happened to the Colossal Sculpture: The Indian Buffalo Hunt” will focus on the work of Newburgh sculptor, Henry Kirke Bush-Brown, and his relationship with Congressman Thomas W. Bradley, President of the New York Knife Company in Walden. Henry Kirke Bush-Brown exhibited the equestrian group, The Indian Buffalo Hunt, for the first time at the 1893 Columbian Exhibition in Chicago to critical acclaim.
