Why Old Places Matter

A panel discussion to discuss the importance of old places and their influence on diverse creative works. The artists and scholars on the panel are all winners of the prestigious Rome Prize, awarded to recognize excellence in the arts and humanities, and have been inspired by old places in their work. The panel is being held in conjunction with a performance of “Why Old Places Matter”, by composer Eric Nathan at Tanglewood by the Boston Symphony Chamber Players on the evening of the panel discussion at 8 p.m.
