On December 21 Catskill Village will be holding their annual Winter Solstice Stroll, an age old celebration at the longest night of the year, the return of the sun and the Earth’s rebirth. All the Main Street shops and restaurants will remain open after nightfall while Main Street, transformed with lights, wreaths of holly and mistletoe, will be closed for pedestrians. The festivities will open with a traditional ceremonial ritual—the lighting of the fire pits and a musical procession down Main St.
