Woodstock Music: Colonists, Warriors, Witches

This presentation uses instruments, song, and shadow puppetry to explore the music history of the Woodstock NY area from the 1600's through the early 1900's. The Bows and Chords Studio Orchestra, comprising violin, viola, and guitar students of Katie Jeannotte, Strings Teacher in Shokan, will be joined by friends and family, instrumentalists and singers of all ages. The Gnomon Shadow Theater, a family-owned company based in Saugerties, performed “Shadows of the Catskills” in 2008. That performance inspired much of the material used in “Colonists, Warriers, and Witches.”
