Children ages 6 to 9 will be taught hand-building pottery techniques over a five-week period, with class occurring once a week. Each child will also have a one to one supervised turn on the pottery wheel and will make a cylinder or a bowl. Additionally students will learn about underglazing, applying glaze, the ceramic process and ceramic vocabulary. Students will have a choice of several projects to make, all creations will be taken home after having been fired. Tools, materials, and firing included.
