Young at HeART: Memoir Writing Course

FOR ADULTS AGES 55+: This multi-disciplinary course anchors the experience of writing memoir in the notion of place, with the life and work of 19th century artist Frederic Church as a launch point. Students will read brief selections from model essays by noted memoirists as they develop their own skills at crafting dialogue, telling stories and describing. The course will be taught by Emily Sachar (MA, art history), founder of the Hudson Valley Memoir Collective and an award-winning journalist.
