Bearsville Theater: J-Break, Lady Verse, Magic Juan, & Diata Diata

December 31, 8pm


If you’re looking for a rager, Bearsville Theater is bringing it. Hosted by Isis Vermouth, this party features three DJs (J-Break, Lady Verse, and Magic Juan) as well as live drumming and performances by Diata Diata. You can capture the evening with a pop-up portrait photo booth with Kristopher Johnson––studio features include lights, background, and a 30-inch monitor for viewing images as they’re shot. You can bring home a 4x6 print so you’ll have something to remember your night by if you happen to party a little too hard.

Hudson House: Disco Party

December 31, 8pm


A disco party and five hours of an open bar await you if you choose to begin 2023 at West Park’s riverfront distillery Hudson House. DJs will play 70s favorites for you to dance to, and you’ll raise your glass of champagne in a toast to the new year while watching a live feed of the Times Square ball drop. A prix-fixe menu is available in case all that dancing makes you hungry. Don’t forget sequins––dress like it’s the disco days.

Daryl's House: Back to the 80s & DJ Dance Party Across the Decades

You can have double the fun at Daryl’s House this New Year’s Eve with back-to-back live music sets. Enjoy two shows, both of which will bring you back in time before leaping into the New Year. The first show, Back to the Eighties, starts at 8pm and features Jessie’s Girl, a team of rock and pop vocalists from NYC, with a backing band composed of veterans of the New York City music scene. The second show is a DJ dance party across the decades, with DJs spinning disco hits of the ’70s and pop and new-wave dance hits of the ’80s. Bring your best bell bottoms and spandex to dance and sing along.

Paramount Hudson Valley Theater: Almost Queen & Steve Leonard

Paramount Hudson Valley Theater hosts, in their words, “the most authentic Queen live show since the days of Queen themselves.” After an opening act by Steve Leonard, four-piece band Almost Queen will deliver an energetic live performance showcasing Queen’s signature harmonies and musical interludes, as well as genuine costumes that take you back to the glory days.

The Falcon: The Big Takeover & What?

The Falcon celebrates the new year by having The Big Takeover and What? take the stage, and the dance floor is open all night. Listen to Jamaican pop sounds rooted in reggae, rocksteady, and ska with the seven-piece New York band fronted by singer-songwriter Nee Nee Rushie. What?, also a septet (and a native Hudson Valley band), will play soulful grooves to cement high energies throughout the night.

Callicoon Hills: New Year’s Eve Dance Party

Dance into 2023 at new resort Callicoon Hills New Year’s Eve Dance Party with great eats, an open bar, and tunes provided by a live DJ. All-inclusive tickets will buy you food all evening (including late night bites) and an open bar through midnight. Callicoon is offering guests the rare opportunity for one-night stays, with late check out so that you can sleep in after a long night of dancing. On New Year’s Day, onsite restaurant the Conover Club offers extended brunch, with popular dishes like carnitas hash and eggs, buttermilk pancakes, and latke benny to start your new year off right.

Revel 32º: Jungle Love Band & Midnight Brunch

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with a midnight brunch hosted at Poughkeepsie’s glam event venue Revel 32º––and before that, enjoy hors d’oeurves, a premium open bar, and a three-course plated dinner. Colony Woodstock: New Year’s Eve Bash

If you want to relive the ’70s and ’80s on the dance floor, Colony is the place to do it. Sean Matthew Whiteford and the House Party Band are performing for Colony’s New Year’s Eve Bash. Keep it local by dancing to tunes by Whiteford, who has been a musical fixture in the Hudson Valley for more than 15 years.

The Maker: Raw Bar & No Ring Circus

This New Year’s Eve is one for the foodies. The Maker is serving up a decadent raw bar full of oysters and caviar, hors d’oeurves with sweet and savory stations, and a wide variety of spirits: champagne, a select open bar, and many of their specialty cocktails. Live music will be provided by DJ HRDR, and you can both dance and watch a seductive performance by No Ring Circus. Finish the night with a champagne toast.

Hasbrouck House: 5-Course Dinner & Champagne Towers

Hasbrouck House provides a New Year’s Eve experience that’s sure to be mouthwatering. Celebrate 2023 with a lavish five-course prix-fixe dinner. With music by DJ Elle Dee, you can dance under disco balls and champagne towers, which you’ll drink from during the midnight toast. If you’re somehow still hungry after all those courses, there are late-night bites, and an open bar until 1am.

The Ashokan Center: Dance Party & Snacks

Ring in the new year at the Ashokan Center with live dance music and a varied spread of late night snacks. Performances include Jay & Molly with Swingology, Rose and the Bros, The Russet Trio, caller John Krumm and Casey Carr, and more yet to be announced. You can either come at 6 and enjoy dinner, or come at 8pm for dancing until 1am. Starting at 11pm, there will be a snack table and cash bar, featuring local spirits until closing.

Vinyl Room: New Year’s Eve DJ Party

Feeling nostalgic? As we move into the new year, take a moment to go retro at Vinyl Room, the Hudson Valley’s only vinyl record bar. DJs Rob Swift and Mista Sinista, who together form Brolic Army, are going to be spinning jams on four turntables. You can appreciate their sets along with libations from the open bar.

Millstream: D-Squared Band

Move to the music of the D-Squared Band at Millstream Tavern’s New Year’s Eve Dance Party. Savor a prix-fixe menu to keep your energy up on the dance floor, and clink your glasses together in a cheers to the new year during the midnight champagne toast.
