Since 2015, Ole Savannah has been a cornerstone of Kingston’s vibrant waterfront dining scene. Now, the Southern-style restaurant is preparing for a transformative evolution. By spring 2025, Ole Savannah will transition into The Cornell, a new dining concept that blends innovative global fusion cuisine with the comfort food staples.

The reimagined restaurant is the brainchild of owner Dave Amato, who is collaborating with Jessica Mino, a key figure behind the success of his recent Uptown Kingston venture, Brickmen Kitchen + Bar. During this exciting transition, Ole Savannah will remain open, continuing to serve diners and host events, ensuring a seamless experience for its loyal customers.

The Cornell promises a menu that caters to modern palates, reflecting the shifting tastes of Kingston’s food scene. By merging popular dishes from Ole Savannah with fresh culinary ideas and globetrotting flavor profiles, the restaurant aims to create a new experience that embraces innovation while still serving up the same creekfront views.

To complement the new menu, The Cornell’s vaulted, industrial brick interior will undergo a significant redesign by the Jackson Creative Group. The updated space will celebrate Kingston’s rich maritime history, much like Brickmen honors the area’s historic brick industry. Guests can look forward to a vibrant and welcoming ambiance that mirrors the city’s blend of heritage and progress.

“Over the years, Ole Savannah’s menu has evolved, and we want to reflect this development in our brand, too,” said Amato. “The Cornell will pay homage to Kingston’s history while offering a fresh take on dining for our community.”

With its updated menu, modernized atmosphere, and continued dedication to hosting celebrations and events, The Cornell promises to carry forward the legacy of hospitality that has made Ole Savannah a favorite in Kingston.
