New Year's Fiddle and Dance Weekend
Jay Ungar and Molly Mason host world-class musicians and dancers at the Ashokan Center in Olivebridge for a weekend of learning new moves and showing them off; styles include cajun, zydeco, contra, swing, waltz, and blues. Less than two years after A Tavola in New Paltz opened, it has been included in Zagat's America's Top Restaurants Guide for 2013. New Year's Eve in the Mountains
Windham and Hunter Mountain ring in the new year with all-day entertainment. Music from DJ Brian starts at 11am at Windham with kids entertainment, and the Amish Outlaws start at 8:30pm followed by fireworks. Hunter's festivities start at 4pm with a kids' torchlight parade and ends with a procession down the mountain followed by fireworks. Millbrook Rotary New Year's Eve
For the 9th year, the Millbrook Rotary Club is giving back to the community with this afternoon festival. Kids can enjoy performances by the Bindlestiff Cirkus, the Puppet People, and Dog on Fleas as well as model railroad displays, arts and crafts, and balloon twisting, all before 9pm. Uptown Kingston's New Year's Eve “1913” Celebration
Kingston's Historic Stockade District will be re-imagined as it was 100 years ago. Boitson's, Duo, Stockade, and BSP will simultaneously host era-specific festivities, with gift/discounts to patrons dressed in period outfits.
