October 15. Descended from Malian royalty, singer and guitarist Sidi Toure plays droning โ€œAfrican bluesโ€ much like those of his better-known namesake, the late Ali Farke Toure. Sidiโ€™s second album, Sahel Folk, newly out on taste-making US indie label Thrill Jockey, is a sublimely heady and hypnotic acoustic session taped live, field recording style, at his sisterโ€™s house with friends over glasses of native tea. Itโ€™s not clear if any such beverages will be on the menu for this date at the Falcon, but donโ€™t let that keep you from whatโ€™s sure to be a magical performance. (Spottiswoode & His Enemies play October 1; Leni Stern strums October 13.) 7pm. Donation requested. Marlboro. (845) 236-7970; www.liveatthefalcon.com.
