I think I thought today
However, I’m unsure
I think I thought
But I don’t recall
My thoughts are muddled
Perhaps I remembered
a time I didn’t remember
likely caused
By a weeklong bender
My speech is vague
Often I know who I am
But fear the rest of you
And that you haven’t a clue
I know I do
I’m shamelessly ashamed
My eyes drift left and right
Never on anyone’s eyes
But his, and sometimes hers
When they are genuinely mine
God! I’m kind, I know I’m kind
