This Thanksgiving weekend, laugh out proud with three stand-up comics in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, November 25th. Itโs a comedy show to support the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center, which offers a safe, supportive environment for services, resources, and programs that unite the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning community across age, race, gender, and economics. The Laugh It Up! comedy event is a celebration, just like the Center is, itself.
Headliner Jessica Kirson brings a diverse energy to her award-winning routine with a wide variety of characters. Sheโs been featured on Comedy Centralโs โPremium Blendโ and โFresh Faces,โ NBCโs โLast Comic Standing,โand appeared on โThe Tonight Show with Jay Lenoโ and โThe Howard Stern Show.โ Take a peek at her podcast, โThe Jessica Kirson Podcast,โ and her YouTube Channel โThe Jessy K Show.โ
Joining Kirson is Frank Liotti, who just completed filming a pilot for LOGO called โEveryoneโs a Little Gay.โ His sardonic wit and stream of consciousness style has won him a finalist position at every comedy festival heโs entered, to date. You may have seen him performing in episodes of Law and Order, or the mockumentary, โCats Talk Back,โ about life as a cast member within the Broadway hit, โCats.โ
The eveningโs host is comedian Shawn Gillieโa regular at the Funny Bone and Comedy Works in Albany.
