Originally
called the Great Hudson River Revival but better known as the Clearwater Festival,
the nationโ€™s oldest outdoor environmental and music event is now going by a more
intuitive handle: the Hudson River Music Festival, which will take place at
Croton Point Park on June 14. Tickets for the big-name-packed happening are now
on sale.

Headlining
the day-long musical and ecology-boosting celebration are Grahame Lesh and
Friends, who feature Rick Mitarotonda, Oteil Burbridge, Griffin and Taylor Goldsmith,
Rob Barraco, and Jennifer Hartswick. Also appearing are an acoustic incarnation
of Lucius featuring Griffin and Taylor Goldsmith; Madison Cunningham; the Preservation
Hall Jazz Band; Jorma Kaukonen; Steve Earle and Friends; and more. Family-friendly
activities include a boat flotilla celebration, the Rock โ€™nโ€™ Roll Playhouse, giant
puppets, Floating Fish Parade, kidsโ€™ music, workshops, and activism area, and
more.

Founded
as the Great Hudson River Revival by Toshi and Pete Seeger in 1966, the
festival has hosted more than 15,000 people every June for more than three
decades. Proceeds raised from the event benefit the nonprofit environmental
organization Hudson River Sloop Clearwater.

The
Hudson River Music Festival will be held at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson
on June 14. Early bird tickets are on sale for $79.95. See website for more ticket
information and scheduling.
