At the dawn of the 1960s, Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village was the place to be. Two who were there were Lovin’ Spoonful leader John Sebastian and folk icon Happy Traum. This month, the singer’s departed friend, who passed in 2024, will once again be the center of the music when “There’s a Bright Side Somewhere: A Tribute to Happy Traum,” a program honoring his life and songs, takes place at City Winery’s Manhattan and Hudson Valley locations.
