Overview:
The improvising guitarists will perform at Green Kill on February 20.
Run by artist David Schell and his partner, Yuriko Sasamoto, art and performance space Green Kill is Kingston’s quiet-jewel venue, a spot where creatives of divergent disciplines are free to display and express their visions. On February 20, innovative guitarists Federico Balducci and Knox Chandler will hold forth as an improvising duo.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Balducci has a bachelor’s degree in film scoring from Boston’s Berklee College of Music. His music has been described as a mixture of classical and ambient music with unusually intricate harmonies. Chandler is an American musician, producer, arranger, and visual artist who has lent his layered “sound ribbons” guitar technique to the Psychedelic Furs, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Cyndi Lauper, R.E.M., Depeche Mode, Grace Jones, and Dave Gahan, among others.
Federico Balducci and Knox Chandler will perform at Green Kill in Kingston on February 20 at 8pm. Seating is limited to 30 people; admission is $10 in advance though the website or at the door prior to the performance. The events are all also livestreamed and archived via Green Kill’s YouTube channel, where a donation is requested.
