With a core ensemble of harpsichord or fortepiano, violin, flute, and cello, the Four Nations Ensemble, founded in 1986, explores and performs major masterpieces from the Renaissance through the Viennese Classical works of Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven and early-20th-century American compositions. The award-winning chamber group has performed at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and other hallowed halls. This intimate concert at the Collens House, the last of a local three-part series, titled โ€œParis: From Versailles to the Verailles Room,โ€ features the ensemble accompanied by guests on lute, oboe, and violin.
