It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, goes the song. But whatever form the weather or seasonal decorations happen to take in other parts of the Hudson Valley, inside UPAC on December 20, it will assuredly look—and sound—like a picture book-perfect holiday scene, thanks to performer Jessica Lynn’s immersive show “A Very Merry Classic Christmas.”

Brooklyn-born, Westchester-raised country singer Lynn has released two well-received albums; been featured in video games like “American Truck Simulator”; and starred in the PBS television specials “This Much Fun: Live from the Winery at St. George” (2014), “Takin’ Over: Live at The Paramount” (2015), and “Live at Dramatic Hall” (2020).

The nationally touring “A Very Merry Classic Christmas” has been described as a “fun-filled, interactive family sleigh ride through the most wonderful time of the year.” The production benefits the charitable Toys for Tots organization (new, unwrapped toys can be donated in the lobby of UPAC), and features strobe and lighting effects; simulated snow, fog, and haze; audience props; and additional special effects.

Jessica Lynn’s “A Very Merry Classic Christmas” will be staged at the Ulster Performing Arts Center (UPAC) in Kingston on December 20 at 7pm. Tickets are $52.90-$62.15.
